Ultrasound waves are safely transmitted through the skin to the target sight, displaying a greyscale image on the screen. This diagnostic scan is painless and quick and provides an image of internal structures and organs to help diagnose conditions. Our ultrasound scans are undertaken by extremely experienced sonographers and Doctors, and you do not need a referral to have the scan carried out. You will be given pre procedure advice depending on the type of scan, with most scans only taking around 15minutes. The report is ready immediately and you are welcome to request a copy of this for your own records.
